Know before you go

Summer is well underway and with hospitality, tourism and shops re-opening, heading outdoors seems more appealing than ever and we want to extend a warm welcome back.

Where can I visit now?

Ahead of the easing of restrictions, our tourism and hospitality businesses have been busy altering their premises, putting measures in place so that you can once again confidently visit and enjoy everything that Amber Valley has to offer.

As part of the tourism industry's 'Know Before You Go' initiative, visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and check for changes or restrictions to areas and places of interest in advance of their visit. We recommend finding out about the available facilities, opening times and whether attractions require advance booking. It is also recommended to check the latest government advice.

To help you plan your visits with confidence, VisitEngland has launched a new 'we're good to go industry standard mark as a way of supporting tourism businesses and providing reassurance to visitors. The industry standard is a way of letting you know which businesses have made necessary changes to their day to day workings, including social distancing and hygiene measures and staff training to ensure they are COVID-19 compliant. Look out for the mark when planning your trip to Amber Valley, so you can book with peace of mind and 'know before you go'.
